Help care for the Māla Lāʻau during the following monthly workdays at each site

Please note: There are no workdays on holidays. Workdays are always weather-dependent.

Kauai Animal Education Farm

1st Sunday of Every Other Month

2nd Sunday of Each Month

9:00–11:00 AM

All volunteers must complete a waiver before participating (just once unless updated).

Save time—fill it out online before you arrive. In-person waivers are available, but online is preferred.

Volunteer Waiver

What to Expect

Every workday is a little different, but you might help with:

  • Planting and caring for plants

  • Laying down cardboard and mulch

  • Pruning and gathering plant materials

  • Removing invasive species

  • No experience needed.

  • We learn by doing, together.

What to Bring

  • Water bottle (refill station available)

  • Snack

  • Sun protection

  • Clothes and shoes that can get dirty

  • Optional: Gloves and any favorite tools (we provide tools too)
