Hana "Hau" Cordage Workshop (April)

$30.00

Tying it all together

Sunday, April 12, 12-2pm

Wailua Homesteads Park,
390 Kamalu Rd, Kapaʻa, HI 96746

Hana “Hau” - this workshop has so many layers that we are offering it again (all puns intended). There is plenty of hau surrounding the Wailua Māla Lāʻau! To bring light and make more space, we are thinning it back.

Join us to learn or practice turning what we cut into cordage. The inner bark is strong and flexible, and it has been twisted into ʻili cordage on these islands for a long time. You’ll leave with a new skill and something made by your own hands.

Join the morning workday (9-11am) and stay for the workshop free.
Or register here and donate online to attend the workshop only.

What to Bring:
Water Bottle: Stay hydrated! Clothing: Comfortable clothes that can get a little messy.
